Centre for Population and Disease Genomics 2023 Symposium

Customs House on Wednesday 15th November 2023.

The Symposium will bring together the IMB Centre for Population and Disease Genomics for a day of presentations and discussion. This year we mix up presentations from our keynotes with some from our postdocs and students to demonstrate the breadth of research within our Centre.

We are pleased to welcome our invited external UQ keynote speaker, Professor Gemma Figtree. She co-leads the Cardiovascular Theme for Sydney Health Partners, a NHMRC Advanced Health Research and Translation Centre and is the Chair of the University of Sydney’s multi-disciplinary Cardiovascular Initiative.

We are also pleased to welcome our other three keynotes from UQ, Professor Glenn King, Professorial Research Fellow and Group Leader of Bugs and Drugs at the Centre for Chemistry and Drug Discovery at IMB, Professor Haitham Tuffaha from the Centre for the Business and Economics of Health and Professor Gita Mishra, Division Head in Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the School of Public Health.

All staff and students of IMB Centre for Population and Disease Genomics are expected to attend.
